A curved desk gives this reception a clear focal point. The finished view brings together a pale counter front, a warm timber backdrop and a line of light around the base—details that are easier to understand when seen in the completed space.
The rounded front carries the desk into the room, while the open working side faces the timber backdrop. A pale top continues around the curve. The photographs show how the outline of a counter can become part of the architecture of an entrance, rather than feeling like a separate piece of office furniture.
The base lighting follows the front edge and makes the shape distinct from the floor. Above it, the vertical timber lines and pendant lights add a different rhythm to the setting. For your own entrance, discuss the curve, backdrop, branding and base lighting together so the visible details connect with the working layout.

A close-up explains the finish, but the room view explains the scale. When planning your own reception, consider what a visitor sees on arrival, how they approach the desk and where staff need access. The counter, backdrop and nearby furniture all contribute to that first impression.
Explore straight, fitted and curved layouts, then define the customer approach, staff position and equipment the desk needs to support.
Treat the visible counter, feature wall and cupboards as one brief. Share finish references, storage needs and cable routes so the furniture can be considered as a coordinated interior.
