Bespoke stainless steel fabrication
Made around your brief

When a standard unit leaves an awkward gap or puts equipment in the wrong place, a fabricated stainless steel solution can be planned around the space and the task. Share the working requirements with Create Bespoke.
Fabrication around a working layout
The project archive includes installed stainless steel counters, sink benches, splashbacks and fabricated units. The right starting point is how the area will be used: what needs preparing, storing, washing or supporting, and where people and equipment need access.
Resolve dimensions and interfaces early
Overall length is only part of the brief. Wall conditions, service positions, equipment cut-outs, upstands, sink details, supporting structures and clearances can all change the design. Send drawings or marked-up photographs showing the fixed points. Where equipment meets the fabrication, manufacturer information helps avoid assumptions.
Agree the material and finish for the job
Material grade, thickness, finish, edge treatment and construction are specified for the intended use. Tell us about cleaning, moisture, heat and any hygiene or regulatory requirements so the appropriate specification can be reviewed. The photographs illustrate past work rather than a standard specification for every new enquiry.
Details from completed work

Tell us which stainless steel fabrication you need
Worktops & counters
Show the available footprint, working height and supporting structure. Include wall junctions, upstands, exposed edges and any equipment that sits above or below the surface.
Sink benches & wash areas
Mark bowl positions, service connections, tap locations and access for plumbing. Tell us about cleaning and the intended use so the specification can be reviewed for the setting.
Splashbacks & fitted panels
Record the wall dimensions, openings, corners and existing substrate. Identify visible faces, edge treatment and the proposed fixing arrangement.
Equipment interfaces
Supply the equipment make, model and installation information. Clearances, ventilation, service access and cut-outs need to come from the actual equipment requirements.
Make the drawing useful for a fabrication quote
Label overall dimensions, material or grade requirements, thickness, visible finish, bends, holes and interfaces with other parts. State the quantity, intended environment and any project standards. Mark anything that is provisional so it can be resolved rather than treated as an approved detail.
Price and timing depend on the complete specification, fabrication detail, finish and delivery or site work. Use our cost and timing guide to prepare a consistent scope. For a counter combining fabrication with other finishes, explore hospitality and servery counters.
Six details that make a stainless fabrication brief clearer
- Overall dimensions: length, depth, working height and the available space around the unit.
- Wall and floor conditions: corners, columns, slopes, obstacles and the points the fabrication must meet.
- Services and cut-outs: sink and tap positions, pipework, drainage, cables and equipment openings.
- Construction: supports, shelves, upstands, exposed edges, joins and fixing requirements.
- Material and finish: any specified grade, thickness, grain direction and visible faces.
- Delivery and access: location, doorway and stair restrictions, unloading arrangements and whether fitting is needed.
A replacement unit needs more than the old unit’s outside size
Photograph the existing unit in place, including the underside, wall junctions and surrounding equipment. Mark which dimensions must stay fixed and which can change. For a sink bench, show bowl positions and access to services; for an equipment counter, include the manufacturer’s installation information and the load it must support.
If the unit must pass through a restricted route, provide the narrowest opening and any corners or stairs before the construction is agreed. Section sizes, joints and on-site work can affect both the fabrication and the quotation.
Finish and application belong in the same conversation
A photograph helps explain the appearance you want, but it does not define a material specification. Tell us about the working environment, cleaning process, moisture and any project standards. We can review the required grade, thickness, finish and construction against that brief rather than applying one standard to every job.
For a mixed-material serving area, see our hospitality and servery counters. Ready to discuss a specific item? Send the dimensions and working requirements.
Your project questions
Can you make a unit to fit existing equipment?
Share the equipment make, model and installation dimensions, including ventilation and access requirements. The interfaces need to be confirmed within the design.
Do you offer a standard grade or thickness?
The specification depends on the application. Tell us what the unit must do and any standards your project requires; grade, thickness and finish are agreed rather than inferred from a photograph.
Stainless steel fabrication enquiries in Norfolk and the UK
For a counter, sink bench or fitted stainless feature in Norfolk, include the site postcode and photographs showing the walls, equipment and service connections. Our Great Yarmouth contact point also welcomes fabrication briefs for destinations elsewhere in the UK.
State whether the piece replaces an existing unit, forms part of a wider fit-out or needs to meet work supplied by another contractor. For UK delivery, include the access route and the final assembly or fitting arrangements you need discussed.
